Well... I checked our latest log (from last night before upgrading to this new 3.2.4 b 33 - "unstable" build) and the user who always has this problem went for fifteen minutes between *any* email device checking the pop3 server and both times he was rejected access because the mailbox was locked... ...

I just installed the version that you listed in this thread... I am not sure whether we will be able to stick with hmail at this stage even *if* the problem is solved, since, because of all the problems we've had, my boss is extremely frustrated with me for suggesting this software instead of exchan...

A lot of POP3 clients screw up if this happen. What POP3 server were you using before? we are not trying ...

evidently you are right... it appears now that I have combed through the logs a bit more that the problem was that this user's two client devices were connecting within two minutes of each other occasionally and one of the devices I have no control over how often it checks for new messages (the blac...

I can't say 100% for certain that the blackberry device isn't trying to continually recheck the mailbox in less than every 2 minutes, but I know that the user's PC mail client is not checking it that often and it never unlocks unless I restart the services. Maybe what we need is an option to unlock ...

I think that we have figured it out... it seems that when the blackberry device tries to receive a large attachment (one that takes longer than 3 minutes for it to get) it drops the connection to the mail server without sending the "QUIT" signal and therefore leaves the mailbox locked. We need a fea...

we have this problem with one external pop3 user also... he even has the problem once he returns to the office... I suspect it is related to the fact that he also has a blackberry wireless device that checks email on this account regularly and it may not be disconnecting properly... imap continues t...

I think 'external' is a better word. But who am i  I agree... external sounds more appropriate (though both make sense)... ...and I assume that if one were using squirrelmail in conjunction with hmail (assuming it is installed on the same server) that it would appear to the hmail server as...
