Choose Protocols Per User

It would be convenient to be able to assign specific Protocols to certain users or groups (POP, IMAP, SMTP). For example you have a client that only wishes to use the IMAP protocol, you would be able to disable the POP protocol for that individual user. This would increase security a bit since you c...

Re: Internal / External Mail

Wow strong 3-4 year bumpage. I just searched and searched and searched and could not find a real solution. Have any options like this been created since 2004? Long story short: I run a restaurant chain. hMailServer runs in corporate office. I want all the stores to only be able to send and receive e...

Mail server off by 1 hour.

I searched the forums and saw that some people have touched on this issue but have not been able to come up with a solution. Everything works fine.....except for when e-mails are received they are off by one hour. For example: E-mail is sent at 8:45AM, when e-mail is received 1 minute later, the tim...

Re: Conditional Vacation Replies

Has this been implemented into hMailServer?

I have a user that wants to set up an out-of-office message and this user receives an unusually high amount of SPAM. Is her account going to be responding to all of these spam messages as they are received?

Re: smtp authentification

Ok so what are my options for the people that are out roaming from ISP to ISP? I understand that SSL may be my only option as that will defer outgoing e-mail to another port other than 25. I am aware that hmailserver does not natively support SSL at this time (am I right?) so I guess I am just out o...

Re: smtp authentification

Yes I am using the full e-mail address for the username. Just to clarify that the people that have issues sending mail are the ones located outside of the office where hmailserver is hosted. If they use their ISP's SMTP server it works fine (Ex: smtp.east.cox.net, outgoing.verizon.net, etc). What I ...

Re: smtp authentification

I figured I would just post here instead of creating a new thread for a similar issue. My clients outside of the office are having trouble sending mail using my server's SMTP address. In order for them to send out messages they have to configure Outlook/OE to use the ISP's SMTP server that they are ...
