The current setup does require authentication and is not a relay (either in setup or when tested). Just to follow up I actually have pulled this error once or twice now myself. With the other Domain users it is every time but with my account it seems about 50/50 Also of note is it seems to be only when Domain level users try to change passwords for other users and not their own...at least so far....

It works because you are bypasssing hmail's SMTP server which can only work as well as it's Domain's DNS records. The AOL server works because it's DNS records are correct. The mail. subdomain I plan to leave alone as it is already pointed to our in house web and mail server. Only it's root domain and two additional domains will get repointed. All 4 will end up pointing to our 1 IP in the end.

Thanks for the reply.

I was pretty sure that is how it would work. I assumed that I would not set up h-Mail for the third party mail provider at all and just wait out the DNS blackout period after re-pointing the numbers. From what I have read it seems like it would be 24 to 72 hours at most.
