Well it works now. Not sure if this is by design but once I selected compress files it works. I didn;t use this feature as i didn't need compression and that is what I figured it meant. I have upgraded to 4.2 with only a few issues. I have tried twice to a backup with messages and then restore on another server(upgrading). It restores everthying fine including directory structure but does not restore the contents.(mail) Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

I did include them in the backup(twice) but it fails to bring the messages across. It creates the data directory structure fine but has no mail at all. I tried copying the directory but it didn't seem to work. Will have to try again.

I tried to upgrade my installation of squirrelmail as per the instructions on squirrlemail site. And now I feel stupid. I keep getting a loop occuring as I can not log into squirrelmail. I am trying to finish off the move over to the new server. I have tried using the built in backup/restore twice. It seems to work except that no data is transfered(emails) the directory structure is there though? Has anyone else had this issue. Can I just copy the data directory over?
