I have a script which deletes incoming mails and this works fine in the sense... If this scrip is not using the COM API, then you may be creating further issues, for instance if you just delete the file from the folder on the hard drive, hMailserver will simply create a file that says ' the message...

That info is logged as debug logging (it says 'performing rule action', and in theory you could get this from the logs, just not in real time as the message is being delivered)

The logs actually don't show outbound connection at all. That log snippet only shows incoming SMTPD connections. I use the OnExternalAccountDownload Event for some custom logging You need scripts enabled, and this goes in your eventhandlers.vbs Change it to get what you need This will trigger for each stored message on the server, so I don't leave messages on the remote server I'm sure that there are other way...

If it works for mail form other countries, then I'd guess that the great firewall of China is your problem.

Try IPv6 if you have that option, I don't think that Great Firewall of China has reached IPv6 as yet

I've robocopied the data directory in advance, running again and again as changeover day came.
Eventually it will get down to a few minutes, especially late at night

I did that over a LAN though, not via FTP
