IMAP Error when creating ENVELOPE structure

Hi folks, I'm getting lots of these messages recently: "ERROR" 3632 "2009-08-04 16:40:01.562" "Severity: 3 (Medium), Code: HM5061, Source: IMAPFetch::_GetPartStructure, Description: Error when creating ENVELOPE structure for encapsulated message." Mac OS X Server = $499 for 10 seats, $999 for unlimited. Also doesn't have greylisting. EIMS.. uh.. no. "Unix mail servers are not click-and-go, but setup-and-forget type." means that they don't meet my particular needs. hMailserver has been the easiest to use that I've ever found, and I'm guessing ...

There's at least one person who would use it: me.

Perhaps you can point me to a OS X mailserver that's as easy to use as hMailserver? Until then, the only reason I have this windows box is to run hMailserver and Quicken.

For the record, I'd love to be able to use hMailserver on my intel mac server. This and Quicken are the only things I still use the PC for.

Hmm.. Okay, I think I've got it working, even if it's not perefect. What I did was... 1) archived my locally cached IMAP mail since my backup 2) rolled back to a previous database by replacing the MySQL directory with my backup's 3) Restarted my machine -- it booted without a failure 4) Running Data...

Oh, and since I tried replacing both host.myi and user.myi, I now get this error: 071128 15:48:43 [ERROR] C:\Program Files\hMailServer\MySQL\Bin\mysqld-nt.exe: Can't find file: 'host.MYI' (errno: 2) 071128 15:48:43 [ERROR] C:\Program Files\hMailServer\MySQL\Bin\mysqld-nt.exe: Can't find file: 'host....

Tables corrupt, can't start access built-in mysql

Uh-oh.. problem with the built-in sql server that's a little different from all the other posts. This morning, my host.myi and user.myi files went completely blank, and the built-in mysql wouldn't start up, throwing a fatal error: Here's what I saw first: 071128 10:14:56 [ERROR] C:\Program Files\hMa...

I just had this problem -- messages were in my inbox, but mail.app wouldn't display them. Turns out there were some draft emails in that folder as well as some other header-less emails. Once I removed those using Outlook (I suspect it was the drafts that were the problem), the inbox displayed correc...

Error connecting to ports 25, 143, etc. and my solution

For anyone else who's had this problem: a few days ago I started getting smtp / imap / pop port binding errors on hMailserver startup (build 248): Sample: "ERROR" 5968 "2006-12-08 16:22:00.109" "Source: IOCPServer::_CreateListenSocket, Code: HM4316, Description: Call to bind() failed. Okay - something which contributed to my confusion that's probably a mail.app bug: I start with an email with a word (.doc) file attachment. I copied that email from one IMAP folder to another IMAP folder. Now, in mail.app, the new copy has somehow lost the extension in the attachment's filename whe...

Good news - looks like waiting (practically forever) did the job! Hopefully Apple will fix the slow attachment downloading in the next update. Maybe it's an issue of the progress bars not showing the actual progress.

Thanks for all the help, Martin.

Yes, I sent you the log after an hour - that's what you requested!

I'll try leaving mail.app downloading the attachment overnight and see what happens. I've also turned off junkmail filtering - let's see if that helps.

So what happens is that mail.app has several threads going to the IMAP server. The application doesn't hang, but if I look at the 'activity viewer' (which shows the server requests and each request's progress), the progress bar for the attachment download is at 99% but never completes. All other ser...

Hi, it was uploaded to the IMAP folder after I upgraded. Also, I cleared Mail.app's cache and it still couldn't grab the entire attachment. Here's a new log right as I clear the cache and the attachment download stalls. I used a different email this time with the same problem. The attachments are PN...

This is an email that I've copied from a local folder into an IMAP folder. I checked on the server's data folder and the email attachments are fine there (opened via Outlook Express). So, it looks like mail.app was able to upload the emails properly to the folder, but now when it's synchronizing or ...

Certainly - I turned on IMAP and debug logging - here's the log file: http://fancyham.com/hmailserver_2005-08-07.log.

In mail.app, it's trying to download the attachments to my email, but the progress bar never completes and the attachments are truncated.

mail.app still has problems with IMAP attachments

Hi there, I think I found a bug that was supposedly fixed in 134: I'm running hMailServer 134 using the built in mySQL database but am still having the same problems described in topic http://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2316. The email attachments stall indefinately upon retrieval from...
