User with massive inbox experiencing problems (18GB)
Hi everyone, I've got a user with a /massive/ account - now standing at 18GB who is experiencing problems with his account suddenly not letting him log on/log off. A reboot of the mailserver cures his problem, but this is a really bad solution for us as we're throwing a heap of support time at him. ...

Windows Mobile (Outlook) clients failing to disconnect
Currently using 5.2.1-B361, Outlook clients on WM 6.1 & 6.5 (HTC TyTn II, Touch Diamond, Touch Pro 2) are all failing to disconnect from hMailServer, meaning that instead of send/receive scheduling, we have to turn our phones off and on again to get the latest messages. We're using IMAP, haven't tri...

We get this all the time (and always have done with Outlook) even on a vanilla install. It appears that deleting a message can cause the UIDs of other messages to change?

Moving some domains and mails to another hmailserver install
Is this possible? Have searched the forums for tips and tricks on how to do it, but not found anything even remotely close.
I've also been prodding around with the current install, but to no success,
cheers,
John

Re: Optimal hardware setup
Yes, if your mail box is doing something else. Certainly a database server would be a good use of 1 - i'd back it up onto #3 and use #2 for file backup/data backup. In reality, your opteron will handle a massive amount of traffic and I'd just clone it to the best server you have left as a 'failover'...

This might sound crazy, but shouldn't the error message pop up as 'The language directive for hmailserver is either mis-formatted or not specified.'? There are two possible errors here (empty or wrong) and I added the em-dash.

We've got a few domains on our servers, including the name of one of our businesses, which have previous owners of the domain. For instance, mark@xyz.com isn't actually the owner of xyz.com any more, but we still get emails for him. Unless we remove a global alias, that'd continue to happen. So havi...

Our mailserver install does over a million messages before it begins to throw any kind of errors - with extensive grey/black/whitelisting rather than spamassassin it's been even better, and this on a box it shares with a MySQL server, a MS SQL server and IIS 6. unfortunately i'd say that one of the dangers of support tickets is that you get people wanting 30 minutes work from you, and in general the communities with paid-for support are slower to *be* support. additionally, some problems would be classified as 'program bugs' and thus shouldn't be charged f...
