Re: hMailServer 5.0, build 286 (Alpha)

In my experience with .NET it is better to repair rather than uninstall/install.

As .NET might not be the root of your problem this might not help but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Re: login

If anyone has a link to any solutions i may have not come to please post. I am getting a blank screen instead of a login page for RC, which i believe i had decided it was a connection issue between RC and mysql In my case blanks screen was due to incomplete roundcube db that gave this exact error. ...

Ahhh, thanks for clarifying, would not have figured that out otherwise :) I just seemd to have missed this info in the online docs and assumed that when a mail was moved it would no longer be processed since it was "Moved" from the inbound queue (or even deleted!). Since I have several external POP3...

Does not sound like SSL or hMS-related.. What if you supply full path? http://mailadmin.mydomain.com/index.php What if you access the page on localhost (127.0.0.1)? Is mailadmin.mydomain.com your real wwwroot, or a something you process via host header in IIS? (I use RDP so I am not running the php-...

Rules executed in reverse order

First I must express my gratitude for the new header "X-hMailServer-ExternalAccount". Will visit the donate page any day now.. :) Question: I have setup two account rules, they are listed in the GUI ordered as: Rule 1 (at top in GUI): X-hMailServer-ExternalAccount EQ "Work" AND X-Spam-Flag EQ "YES" ...

dyndns.org offers free domains with MX-records. It works extremely well when using a dynamic IP with (for instance) hM. Superfast updates when changing IP.

However, I doubt this tip will actually help the original questioner which seem to have other problems as well :)

I had ClamWin installed (which hM have native support for) I uninstalled (no need to reboot, seems like it is just a shell-ext dll left after uninstall) and used versions of powertool and ClamAV linked in this thread. OMG... What a difference. I had to actually send myself some "viruses" just to mak...

I just think it's misleading when you say it's not possible just because it isn't possible for you. It may very well be possible for grumman. Sorry, I am thinking in my own ways - as always :) My intention was not to post misleading info, of course the excellent filter capabilities of hM may accomp...

Yes, I did. I move mails from pop3 based on "to" being the correct domain. This is not bullet proof when it comes to mailing lists.... My server in question uses sendmal and do NOT add any tag. Excuse me for being impolite, but there is no functionality to redirect a pop3 into a IMAP-folder. You can...

I am aware about the troubles re POP3/hMail. Task that fetches POP3, why can it not either tag e-mails or simply put them in specfied folder? It sounds simple, I know, sorry *S* To return to original question, the answer (I think) is no for POP3 (you can not move POP3-msg to specified folder), and y...

Finally I got to adding a tag reflecting my setup. beta 2 seems to work for others when it comes to sorting. The only hint I picked up from rc-forums was to check IMAP-server. hMailServer and SORT (IMAP)

Newbie again... I seem to have a lot of questions :) Roundcube relies on IMAP-server sorting e-mails. hM seem to support this feature: * OK hmail a CAPABILITY * CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4rev1 CHILDREN IDLE QUOTA SORT a OK CAPABILITY completed But rc will no sort correctly (see http://roundcubeforum.net/...

external account (POP3) moved to IMAP-folder

Hello community, questions from a newbie. I have just thrown away Desknow Lite (well, almost :-) in favor for the excellent hMail with SquirrelMail/Roundcube as webmail.
