Re: Empty messages throught IMAP

setting mail.server.default.mime_parts_on_demand = false (additionally to mail.imap.mime_parts_on_demand = false) seems to have fixed the imap problem with blank messages for me (hMailServer-5.2.1-B361 / thunderbird 2.0.0.23).

same for me - initially i just used hmail with a couple of dnsbl and clamav + sanesecurity signatures to fight spam - but nowadays i'm really happy with the use of ASSP (1.3.2).

Where did you see 2.0.18? phpbb has a version disclosure via /docs/CHANGELOG.htm ;-) User who sign up have full access to add www etc but users under 10 posts cannot see these. it's important to block attempts when users/bots try to insert those values - this way one can block automated registratio...

there are some pretty effective things one can do about phpbb spamming - deny access for lwp and libwww useragents via .htaccess (even better use modsecurity to secure the server, seel e.g. this ruleset ) - deny access to 'active' profile parts like signature and www until the user has at least 10 p...

Support for domain literals

is Add Support for domain literals still possible with 4.4B270?
although i added the corresponding ip-adresses as alias domains dnsreport.com says:
[...]does not currently support receiving email in domain literal format
but maybe it's a miconfiguration/misunderstanding on my side

after a phonecall with the recipient's provider it's becoming more and more strange: it seems to be related to greylisting - their postfix implementation is quite (read: sends no response code) instead of sending the typical '451 4.7.1 Please try again later'. with the second attempt the mail is acc...

Did you disable Norton Antivirus? Or did you just try disabling ClamAV? i tried both - but the problem remains that some domains are not reachable via hmail at all (sending mail via gmail works perfectly fine and the recipients tech says 'everything is working as expected' on their side). it seems ...

Did you cut away parts of that log? nope - hmail is running in debug mode and this is the complete log (related to the specific mails) - as you can see i set them manually to immediate sending to verify if the remote server is available at all. i hope to receive some feedback of the recipient on mo...

problem with maildelivery to a single recipient

i've two mails to a specific recipient stuck in the queue that can't be delivered and i've no clue about the underlying problem. maybe someone can drop some light on this with help of the debug log: "DEBUG" 4692 "2007-03-30 18:07:59.671" "PersistentMessage::SetNextTryTime()" "DEBUG" 4692 "2007-03-30...

so is this problem related to the non RFC-compliant mailserver on the recipient side?
as a follow-up: it was indeed a problem due to misconfiguration on the recipients mailserver. once they added a hostname instead of an ip-adress it worked smoothly.

issues with mx-backup and spam

i've just setup a backup mx for my main hmail-server as described in the how-to-docs and noticed an issue (guess it's not really a problem but i'd like to ask anyway...): since the main mx is 'secured' with the assp-spam-proxy it blocks a couple of (spam) mails that the backup mx tries to deliver. i...
