hmailserver on windows 10

Post by blackjack » 2020-01-22 12:27

hello everyone,
so I have installed virtual machine with windows 10.
is it possible to make it as server for sending and (especially) receiving emails
or I need windows server 2016 with dns manager?

I have created free domain in infinity free but in free version it can't give me access to imap so I can't connect to Outlook or Thunderbird and receive messages

I would really appreciate any your help to understand what is my problem - wrong OS version or I can organize server on windows 10 but I just don't know how to do it.

Currently your settings are saying:
Someone wants to send you an email: You first need to authenticate
Someone wants to send an mail from your server: Here you go

It has to be the other way round. Everyone (external) should be allowed to send you (local) an email. But no one should be allowed to send an email from your server without authentication.

Delete the relay.
It needs to be like "Relay:-

right?

Correct. Unless port 25 outgoing is blocked. Then you will need an outside relay service.

Once fixed test by doing some open relay tests, OR repost the updated settings
