Is there a way I can mask the sender email ID with a name

Post by RDadmin » 2019-06-13 04:08

Hi,

Is there a way I can mask the sender email ID with a name?

For example:

All email sent from test@domain.com should be seen by the recepients as TestCompany.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

This is set in your mail client

hMailserver cares little about what name you choose.

What mail client do you use?
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the reply.

We are using hmailserver as an SMTP relay to send out email through a web app.

Basically this is done by our developers. I am on the IT side of the project.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Get the web app to set this

You could do it with scripts in hMailserver if you are really stuck, but seriously this is pretty basic stuff for your web developers to get right.

What can you tell us about the app? What language is it written in? is it PHP or ASP or...
What library is used to send mail?
