Are these same domain?
Do you have a certificate created on your hMailserver?
Where did you get the certificate?
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

Ensure you have the ports forwarded in your router to your server. (110, 143 etc)

The ports are forwarded.
The problem is only an account in the same domain as others. i do not have certificates.
in other phones the same problem: under wi-fi it's all OK in few seconds, under 4G nothing. Only with this account

check and recheck the account settings on the phone, ensuring that you are using the FQDN, not a local IP address

I use the DDNS name as i use in all phones. I just checked a lot of times. why i can access with wifi and not with 4G? every wifi is OK, in Italy, Austria, ecc.. i tried in a lot of places

What port are you connecting on?

The ONLY reason can be that your phone provider is blocking the ports that you need to access mail, and the ports are different for that ONE account

This sniffs of simple misconfiguration. Either with hms or iphone but misconfiguration all the same.

I use 995 from Aruba to hmail, then i do not know where i can set different ports for single accounts.
A particularity of this account is that it's the only one with 2 external account configured.

Example:

iPHONE:

account1:

Incoming server: FQDN.com
Port: 143

Result: Works.

account2:

Incoming server: FQDN.com
Port: 110

Result: Fails.

Conclusion: Both accounts work on wifi. But Account2 is a DIFFERENT PORT to the other accounts and that your mobile operator is blocking port 110.

Maybe something in the IP ranges is messed up? Kind of sounds like an autoban. That could explain the same user from different IP getting access or not.

That's the meaning:
Capture.PNG
Capture.PNG (7.15 KiB) Viewed 3745 times
2 external accounts.

Could you explain better? Autoban from hmail?

Yes, hmail. I'm not 100% sure about this, but autoban goes against a user and an IP. So theoretically, if you logged in with a bad password via cell network, AND you misconfigured autoban to hold the ban for a very very long time, AND autoban banned your login from the cell IP, AND you later corrected the password and logged in via WiFi on a different IP, then you could log in successfully after on any IP other than the cell IP. The problem with this theory is that cell IPs are dynamic and change every time you connect. So it would have to be a range of IPs that get banned in order for autoban to be the issue.

So... That's why I think it's more likely that the IP ranges are misconfigured somehow. Or it's possible your router is keeping a certain IP range from accessing hmail. Or you have a software firewall that is doing the same thing for some reason. Either way, something is preventing your cell service IP range from getting in, or hmail itself is booting your cell IP range out.

Forget about IP ranges. Nobody can get in.

I think Matt was right. Your login is using the local lan address. Are you using a VPN to the machine that has hmail installed on it? That would explain why it works in outside locations.

No VPN, Vodafone station cannot manage them. For logging i use my DynDNS name

Have you checked and cleared your AUTOBAN ranges?
