EML attachment does not have initial headers

Hi,

I am reading emails from hMailServer version 5.3.1 B174 on IMAP protocol using Java mail API. And I found that EML files (attached emails) comes without initial headers related to that EML. Though I tested same application against GMAIL, Lotus Notes and Exchange server it works fine. So I suggest that this problem should be fixed. If there is anything configurable on the server which can fix this issue please help me out. Thanks a lot

First off, why are you using such an old version of hmail.

Second, what do you mean doesn't have initial headers? When I look at an email in my mail client all the relevant headers are present.

These are the headers in the beginning of an EML attachment file when read from GMAIL or Lotus Notes, but these headers are missing when it is read from hMailServer version 5.3.1 B174. Due to that when this EML attachment file is opened in Outlook it does not show message correctly as these headers are missing there. If I copy & paste these missing headers in the starting of this EML file, it works fine.

Please tell me how can I send you the screen shots and some more detail to make you understand. Could you give me your email address. Thanks a lot for quick response.

Before you do anything I suggest you upgrade as you are using an older version and your bug may have been fixed in a newer version.

How are you reading those headers? You are not email program. You are only user using some unnamed email program in some way. You can post screenshots on forum. Upload them to http://imageshack.us/ and post forum thumbnail codes or link here.

Headers are not the same. Some of them depend on email server
