How to modify the number of SMTP retries in a VB script ?

Post by Julien@TLD » 2005-09-19 09:43

Hello,

I would like to know how to modify the number of SMTP retries in a VB script which I will call in a .bat file. I think, it is thomething like this:

Set oApp = CreateObject("hMailServer.Application")
oApp.Settings.XXXXXXX = MyValue

With What I have to replace the XXXXXX ? And Where can I find the complete list of this parameters ? I do not found it on the hMailServer website.

Thanks

These aren't documented. All these properties will be documented before the release of 4.2. Until then, you can use a typelibrary viewer to see the properties. There are freeware typelibrary viewers if you google.

The specific setting you're asking for is named SMTPNoOfTries. So you can run
oApp.Settings.SMTPNoOfTries = 5

Thanks you yet for your help!
An idea about the 4.2 release date? I wait for it to correct my problem with MySQL connexion lost (see my first post).

I don't give release dates. All features are implemented but it still needs testing. One estimate is that I'll have a beta build in about a week. I've been running it myself for some weeks now without any problems. After it's beta, it depends on how many people that downloads and tests it.
