Hello
I have in mind to use hmailserver scripting mechanisms to implement some remote function to perform some actions on my windows server
Idea is : I send an email to a certain address, with defined subject and defined message (including password)
Then hmail server detects this message and launch a batch file or some shell commands and sends back an email with results
I have some trouble with one of my IIS website that needs to be relaunched remotely
any idea to implement this ?
Thank you

Here is a script I wrote that will activate when specific text is in the header

You can modify that to run a batch file. If you get stuck, post where you get to and I'll try and help. This is something I have been considering doing for a while anyway, specifically I am looking to update the account list stored on a backup MX via an email generated from a script that is scheduled at the primary MX

Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.
