Refetch remaining POP3 Mails from external account

Post by LtColDoerk » 2019-11-17 14:52

Hi folks,

due to a misconfiguration of hMS, some external POP3 Mails were fetched but not delivered internally. Fortunately my external POP3 fetch was set to "delete after 7 days".

My problem is now, to refetch the missing ones again. Are there any suggestions?

p.s. New mails are fetched normally and delivered to the internal account.

Thanks in advance...

If you can access it by imap, you can log in to both accounts in Thunderbird and copy whatever you need from one account to the other.

You could also delete the entries in the database table "hm_fetchaccounts_uids". Then all messages get fetched again.

Sorry, but we do not promote or suggest or support direct database manipulation
This could always create other un-noticed issues

You could delete messages directly using the COM API if you need to force anything

Hello Palinka,

also my idea, but had hoped for a simpler solution.

Thanks for that suggestion anyway!

That sounds perfect for me! I'll try it afterwards.

Best regards.

I've just tested a simpler way. Delete the external account and recreate it. All entries in the table "hm_fetchaccounts_uids" will be deleted for the external account you delete. After recreating the external account, all messages get fetched again.

I think it's a much better way than manipulating the database. But it was the first thing that came to my mind.

yes much better idea

The only issue is that some addresses may get duplicate emails if some have already been diverted correctly, as they will also be re-downloaded too.
