Deactivate Send

Post by Lorbaro » 2019-10-10 16:45

Hello,

is it possible to deactivate the send function completely for all clients on hmailserver? We moved our mail usage to the cloud but didnt import them to Exchange because we had huge issues with the server stability, mainly because of low RAM. Now we just use the old hmailserver if we want to check old mails, but some people still accidently send from the old hmail instead of the new Exchange.

Kind Regards

just turn off SMTP

Only allow connections via IMAP or POP3
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

Will the user get an Error if they try to send via hmail then? That would be a perfect easy solution! :)

try it - but yes

You may need to set the client SMTP server to be your cloud server
