550 HELO argument

Post by gtsolid » 2017-10-05 08:50

Hi,
when i try to send some mail i recevice this message:

Code: Select all

   Error Type: SMTP
Remote server (95.110.243.63) issued an error.
   hMailServer sent: RCPT TO:<marcosecco@simercoating.com>
Remote server replied: 550 HELO argument [tecnovida.eu] is missing a DNS entry. See http://spamauditor.org/best-practices/resolve-helo-identifier/ for more information. Protection provided by MagicSpam 2.0.11-1 http://www.magicspam.com
I know that

Code: Select all

tecnovida.eu
has been expired, it was my old dynDNS. But i'm not sure where i use it on hmail.
I'm connected to external account using "aruba" login data

SMTP >> Delivery of eMail >> Local host name
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

No, just a second.
i insert my static IP address and now i receive:

Code: Select all

Remote server replied: 554 5.7.1 <62.110.116.98>: Helo command rejected: fake IP literal in HELO hostname - please contact postmaster@seeweb.it
should i leave the field empty?

Correct, quite right too.

Why did you put in an IP address? (Its called a HOST NAME)

You need to put in the FQDN of your mail server.
5.7 on test.
