Post by sikhululwek » 2014-08-02 10:18

Hi

My domain and IP Addresses always gets blacklisted and I have tried to switch around IP Range settings. However, I can't seem to get it right.
Your advice in the matter is very important.

IP ranges look fine however to be sure can you open up and post screenshots of each of the black ranges, don't need the red autoban ones.

If you are being blacklisted it normally means that you are either, sending out spam (Compromised account?)

Or your IP is residential/dynamic and is not supposed to be sending email.
If at first you don't succeed, bomb disposal probably isn't for you! ヅ

I am using a static IP Address and it might be that my account has been compromised. Please find the attached IP Ranges as advised.

your internet range must include authentication required on everything except external to local otherwise any IP can send mail from your server without needing to use a password.

AND

I would untick "Allow deliveries from external to external"

Do you want to be able to receive incoming mail from external accounts/IPs

I have unticked external to external and external to local. I am worried if I untick external to external my server might be hijacked and get blacklisted.

Please do as you are asked, and not as you think.

Please check ALL boxes on the internet IP range
THEN uncheck

Require SMTP authentication for EXTERNAL to local
and then uncheck

Allow deliveries from External to External

I have ticked everything to allow authentication and unticked allow external to external email address.

Also unticked local to external authentication and I want to be able to receive email from external so how do I do that. Please see the screenshot.

Change expires date to 2099 then it will be all good and secure for your internet range. Only if someone guesses your password can they send mail from internet range so use strong passwords.

And change date in all your other ip-ranges to 2099 too

I know date expires is not selected and you should leave it as not selected but changing date to a high value is good incase you accidentally select expiry date in future.

The expiry date doesn't matter unless the expires checkbox is ticked
That is the default

Yup, I was just massaging my post as you posted.
Might be a sfaer option if default was much higher.

I have followed all the configuration and my domain was blacklisted. I think the challenge is lying with the IP Range on the Internet. I have also set the expiry dates as advised.

Perhaps you get blacklisted because you send spam

DO you have an account that has been compromised?
What logging do you routinely do?

I did reset all my passwords and I do have a monitoring email that forwards (Rule) mails to mxtoolbox for monitoring. I am just wondering if this doesn't cause the blacklist.
