de-select SMTP in settings >> protocols

This may not actually make your hMailserver usable though, so be careful

My preferred option is to change the port of IIS SMTP and set within IIS SMTP a smart host being my hMailserver. Then they co-exist.
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

See uninstall in windows installed programs control panel. email server with disabled SMTP service is not functional.

If IIS SMTP service features sufficient for you, you don't need full SMTP server like hMailServer.

If you do need functional email server, change your personal preferences. IIS SMTP is not email server.
