password change plugin issue

Post by amjath » 2012-12-13 06:57

Hi,

I have installed hmail server 5.3.3 in windows 2008 R2 Server. Mysql is connected from different machine and squirrel mail is installed in another machine (1.4.22).
I have added password change plugin in squirrel mail. But it is throwing the below error while changing the password

DCOM error
Source: hMailServer COM library Description: You do not have access to this property / method. Ensure that hMailServer.Application.Authenticate() is called with proper login credentials.

I have followed the below link in hmail server(windows 2008 R2). But no hope

If we install hmail and squirrel mail in same machine, it works perfectly.
Please help me to sort out the issue.

DCOM normally only works from the local machine that hMailserver is installed on

Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

2008 R2 is pure 64bit server. hMailServer is 32bit. Are you sure that you can even launch 32bit DCOM application on 64bit OS DCOM environment?

Hi, I have also W2008R2 x64 with hmailserver installed. DCOM works fine.
amjath I believe the issue is in PHP version. I had the same problem with Roundcube hmail_password plugin after update from PHP 5.3.10 to 5.3.16. I had to switch back to 5.3.10 to make it work. You will find many post about DCOM/PHP version issue.
Good luck.

Why we're doomed to something.
problems that do not fit the version of php.
2008 does not allow authentication problems.
I need to do to overcome them in a software.
Or should not be dependent on so many other software.

For those of you windows 2008 R2 64-bit is not enough.
