Thunderbird signature

Post by scholle » 2012-11-05 10:25

HI!
My problem is that the signature I added in accounts-signature(TAB) doesn't show in recipient mail when I use Thunderbird!
And we need the signature! I know you're going to tell me it's probably an Thunderbird issue! Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Do you send trough hmailserver, or do you send over another SMTP server with Thunderbird?

Thanks for replying!! :D
Everything goes thru hMail. It seems to be a problem with Thunderbird but their forum hasn't offered any suggestions yet! They're slow in answering! At this moment signature doesn't show in Thunderbird and in OE and webmail it does so I'm running out of ideas! It's probably something I haven't checked and am missing it still! But what, I don't know!

Problem is in other place.

Signatures are stored internally in hMailServer configuration and there is no way for Thunderbird to read them. Thunderbird is standard email client designed to use generic email communication protocols. It is not hMailServer email client.

Do your thunderbird clients write HTML or plain text email?
Which type of signature did you set in hMailserver?
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

To dzekas if it is so than how come when I send mail to a client, who is using OE, he/she sees my signature even if I use Thunderbird! Only if the recipient is using Thunderbird the signature is missing? :?
To matgg the signature was added in accounts-signature tab first option PLAIN TXT and clients are using plain text for messages!
Checked in message source code in Thunderbird!

OE and Outlook will show both HTML + plain text in-line as default.
Thunderbird tends to show one or the other in my experience
