Backup MX and Mail Relay

Post by aschinnerl » 2012-05-23 22:55

Hi,

I have installed hmailserver and everything works fine.

Now i have got a few questions - is it Possible to use hMailServer as a Backup MX for other Mailserver?

I also tried to configure hmailserver, so that it is possible to use hmailserver as mail relay for other Servers without authentication, put only for one ip adresse! Now worry i know what no authentification for spammers means.

Thanks

MX Backup >> http://www.hmailserver.com/documentatio ... _mx_backup

relay>> yes this is possible.
Use an IP range to achieve this.

test using open relay >> http://www.hmailserver.com/documentatio ... elay_tests
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

Thank you for your Email.

Is it possible to configure the backup mx for more Domains at one domain.

I mean the domain server name ist test.yxz.com, and this one receives emails for the domains abc.com, bcd.com and so on?

How could hMailserver know to do this automatically?

You will need to configure for each domain a route
