What are my MX records?

Post by aboyd » 2009-07-23 04:11

I have read the page on MX records here on the site, but I am still confused. How do I find my MX information? I am using secureserver.net currently through godaddy, but I would prefer to switch to hmail. what do I need to do to setup the server? I am able to input the mx records, but how do I get my local MX information to point back to my XP Pro desktop??? Please help, I know this has been answered before, but I cannot find the information I am looking for. Thanks so much!

To check dns records, use nslookup.

To change dns records, use the control panel provided by your dns provider.

The search button (and Google!) are your friends. Use them :)

If at first you don't succeed, bomb disposal probably isn't for you! ヅ
