Hmm. Well, I did read the whole thread ... but it's just wrong. SMTP over SSL definitely encrypts the whole session, not just the password. Maybe that writer was thinking of some other authentication scheme? I dunno.

v5.3.2, btw. Actually, I just discovered the script is working when the message is spam (when X-hMailServer-Spam is YES). My intranet, but I have spam checking enabled for that range. Interestingly, it skips spam checking whenever the client connects with an authenticated SMTP session, even if authenticated SMTP isn't required by the IP range policy.
