If your smtp logs were not altered, they tell us that you do have default domain set in your hmailserver configuration.

That script works only in some setups. It will cause problems for users with catchall accounts and forwarded mailboxes.

Service on 25 port doesn't use SSL certs. Your logs are confusing as they have mix of SMTP, IMAPS and POPS data, similar session ids and failures that can be reliably linked to start of session with same id. Test your SSL services with openssl client and plain text services with telnet.

Set your spam settings... I just had same problem and think I fixed it... Set my spam mark as 1 delete at 4... If your delete threshold is 20 - I think it is too high... As it takes spam scores and adds them... Spam gets to 3 in a hurray... And 6 easily if 2nd spam score... But rarely gets to 20 I ...

You are fighting over nothing.

hMailServer does not check From: for SPF compliance as SPF is not designed to check From: header. SPF is designed to check MAIL FROM.

Every normal mailing list or email conference will fail SPF From: check.

Get better telnet client. Windows one does not allow you to fix input typos with backspace.

Learn IMAP command syntax. Most of your commands were for SMTP or POP3 services.
