My money is on this: Windows Firewall (McAfee) Only by turning off completely all firewalls and av software's can you properly rule them out. Also check off there were any auto updates (windows? ) on the day in question. (You say you have tried to telnet but didn't say if you were successful or not....

If they are connecting as those addresses then they are in your business (dodgy employee or virus). Connecting addresses are not spoofed.

Have down the devices and the users and a.v check them.

Therefore the modified date could be due to anything on windows. Av scanning. File moving. Anything. Creation date is before hms was paused as is expected.

1st of all: this will NOT work on emails being received by External Download (POP) as POP is not SMTP and 'OnSMTPData' only fires with SMTP.
