Re: Moving Hmail to new server - same settings, just new server

Thanks DooM,

Is everything contained in a single directory (D:\Program Files\hMailServer)?

Moving Hmail to new server - same settings, just new server

We're just migrating to a new web server, so I'm looking to move my hmail accounts and database over. I've made sure both servers are running the exact same version of Hmail, so there should be no conflicts there. Could you tell me if there is a wrong way or a right way to do this? Is there a step b...

Re: Upgrading SQL Server 2000 to 2005

In case anybody else has this problem, when the database wizard hangs when changing default datbases. It writes the correct details in the ini file, but fails to restart the service. If you do this manually, it then works.

SQL2000 > SQL2005 dependencies problem

Hi, I've been running Hmail on SQL2000, but we've just moved everything across to 2005. I've moved the Hmail database to 2005, but the hmailserver service has a dependency on MSSQLSERVER (my 2000 instance). I've ran the registry key in addons, but this just adds in the MSSQLSERVER dependency to the ...

Upgrading SQL Server 2000 to 2005

Hi, I've been running HMail on SQL2000 for a while now, but we're just upgrading to SQL2005, so I need to move the database across. During this transition stage, we're running both versions of SQL server on the same machine, with 2005 as a separate instance. I have run the Database setup wizard, and...

mmmm - that was my next question!

I was going to ask that - any ideas? There's not a lot of mail there. Most are simple redirects, and the rest normally download to their local mailboxes, so there's probably a day or two's at most.

Migration from MailEnable to HMail

Hi, I currently run Mailenable on my web server, and am about to migrate to HMail. I have installed it, but after the install it did say that I would have to stop whatever services are currently running for mail (assuming it means Mailenable). I have now set up the appropiate mailboxes on Hmail, so ...
