Doesn't 5.3.3 build 1879 use a previous version of OpenSSL, that isn't affected by the bug?
As far as I can see the bug was introduced in OpenSSL 1.0.1 that was released in December 2011, while hMS build 1879 was released in June 2010 (=before the bug).

Shouldn't .htaccess files be worthless on IIS, when third party software such as IISPassword isn't installed?
I am sure I removed them all, as i searched for "htaccess" via explorer and deleted the 4 files it found. Anything else I can try to do?

Of course it would be possible to make a script as you suggest, but some kind of automatic feature would be much smarter. It would be much more smarter having some kind of automatic generation of a text file by hMS, instead of having to do extra manual work everytime you add a new domain.

Be carefull not to use too many and to choose the right blacklists. I once used a blacklist (RelayWatcher.com) who forgot to renew their domain, resulting in someone else buying the domain and telling the thousands of mail servers checking with it, that everyhing was spam which caused a lot of mails...

Be aware that part of the SpamAssassin guide is out of date.
Also, i can't seem to get SpamAssassin to run smoothly, so i guess i'll change to ASSP or an external filter such as MailWasher.

I've got logging enabled, but it's about 25.000 lines each day in the log file, so it's pretty hard to get an overview of what happends. I've got POP3/SMTP/application turned on too, should i disable these and only have IMAP enabled and see how much output it generates?

The user is using Thunderbird version 1.0.6, but afaik there's no known bug related to this issue, and it was working fine with an identical rule before in MDaemon.

No, hMS is only restarted when the server is, or the MySQL is for some reason.

Sorry for the late reply, needed to get in touch with the specific user.

The user is using Thunderbird, and when the second mail occurs it's already marked as read (probaly becourse it was already read when it was placed in the "Debian" folder in the first place). hMailServer is version 4.1 B136.
