No, I can have different IPs for incoming and outgoing without any problems. What I was wanting was an IP that only my domain sends out out. That is what Yahoo wants to prove spam doesn't come from my IP so they can whitelist my IP.

Thanks, I had missed that feature. Is there anyway in the future that hMailServer can send email out on the same IP it came in on? I would like to have a dedicated IP for just my emails so I can maybe get Yahoo to stop marking all my emails as spam.

Issue with IP used to send out mail

I have multiple IPs on my server and only have Hmailserver bound to 2 specific IPs. When I send mail through Hmailserver it goes out on the default IP of the server which Hmailserver is not bound to. Is it possible to make Hmailserver send email out on the same IP that it came in on (except for the ...

Unable to send Mail to Specific Domains

I am unable to send mail to domains that do not have an MX record setup. While it is usual for mail servers to have a MX record setup it is not record. If a MX record does not exist the mail server should try to send to the A record instead.

Mail not being processed

I have mail stuck in the queue. It is not being processed for local users and doesnt look like it is processing for remote users also. I believe it may be some sort of database issue because when I open the hMailServerAdministrator and select an account is takes about 10-15 seconds to display the in...

No, they are not in the undelivered list. They are just sitting in the mailroot folder and nothing is happening to them. They are not being sent out or stored in specific users folders.

How do I force Unprocessed Inbound email?

I got the error Source: MySQL Connection::CheckError, Code: HM10048, Description: MySQL: Can't open file: 'hm_messages.MYI'. Do you have a recommendation for some kind of software port forwarding? I don't have access to the firewall or router at my datacenter to do port forwarding from there.

That doesn't sound like a bug to me. Hmail stored the message in the folder you specified. As for the new folder not showing up in the mail client it is likely because IMAP uses a subscribe option for specific IMAP folders you want displayed in the account. If a new folder is made outside the specif...

You can set other domains an alias of a single domain so you would receive email sent to those domains at a single location.

Maybe have a stand alone installation that requires that Perl already be installed and does all the configuration with Hmailserver? That way you don't have to worry about Perl, or bogging down the Hmailserver installation.

Have it auto-configured like ClamWin and integrated into the installation, so all a new user would have to do is click a check box to enable spamassasin. There are quite a few Windows mail servers that integrate spamassasin. (http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/CommercialWindows)

SpamAssasin Integration

This isn't absolutly required, but it would probably help alot of new users to simply have spamassasin integrated into hmailserver instead of having to set it up manually through scripts.

Domain Level Rules

I looked and didn't see that this has been requested yet.

It would be nice to have domain level rules so that a domain admin could setup a rule over their entire domain without having to contact a server admin to setup the rule.

The problem is that using the rules you don't get a copy of the emails sent out on that domain. Also, I am not sure how the rules work exactly yet. What would happen if the person sent to was in the BCC field. Would such a rule be able to trigger on that email?
