I have a rather large pop3 box (550+) megs and whenever I try to check that box to grab all the messages it will timeout well before.
My guess is that hmail is calculating the list of messages to give to the client but it takes longer than the timeout period is. |

So what's the timeout period in your email client? Have you tried to increase it? If you have a huge mailbox, hMailServer will require some time to load the list from the database.
